The Genesis brand has started to become one truly recognizable vehicle in the luxury brand market. Some have doubted that it can measure up to the likes of brands such as Audi, Mercedes, and BMW. In this blog post we will explore how the 2020 Genesis G80 3.3T Sport stacks up against the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 350 4MATIC.

As far as power goes, the Mercedes E 350 has 255 hp @ 5,800 RPM, whereas the Genesis G80 has 365 hp @ 6,000 RPM. The torque on the Mercedes is 273 lb-ft at 1,800 RPM and the G80 has 376 lb-ft at 1,300 RPM. Also, the E class comes with a 4 cylinder engine and the G80 has a 6 cylinder, which makes the G80 significantly more powerful.

The MSRP on the Genesis is quite a bit less than the Mercedes, and also has more features coming standard. Such as Nappa leather upholstery and rear side airbags. There is about 4 extra inches of legroom on the G80. The Mercedes comes in at about 41.7 inches and the G80 at 45.7 inches. The G80 is roomier and more comfortable than the interior of the Mercedes E 350.

The turning radius on the G80 is a lot smaller than the E 350. This allows drivers to maneuver in and out of tight spots. As for the exterior, both vehicles feature chrome accents, but the Genesis really makes a statement. It's large, crest-shaped grille really exudes luxury. The G80 comes with standard 19" alloy wheels, while the Mercedes is 18".

The E 350 features an 8-speaker audio system with an under-dash subwoofer. There is an available 13 speaker Burmester Surround Sound system on a higher package. For the Genesis G80, it has a standard 17 speaker Lexicon sound system wit QuantumLogic. This system offers a crisp, authentic listening experience.

As you can see, the Genesis G80 is overall the better choice for speed, comfort, technology, and aesthetics. Come test drive a 2020 Genesis G80 3.3T today!
