GV70 Overview Just a few years after launching as a stand-alone brand in 2017, Genesis sent its GV70 into the liveliest segment of the luxury car market - small crossovers - and crushed it. It immediately jumped to the top of our list of favorite vehicles in its class, and to the top of Genesis sales charts. Behind that Bentley-esque grille is a sumptuous interior packed with comfort, tech and safety features that rival any of the established luxury brands. The GV70 doesn't need to be priced lower than its competitors to be appealing, but it is, making it even more attractive.

As one of the newest models in the segment, the 2025 Genesis GV70 looks and feels fresh, sleek, and modern. Inside, the dashboard is anchored by the SUV's class-leading 14.5-inch screen, which resembles a bona fide command station. The cabin is well-built and boasts high-end materials, such as leather upholstery and spin-brushed aluminum trim. Ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and manual reclining seats are available in the GV70's 3.5T Sport trim.

The GV70's cabin is among the more spacious-feeling in the small luxury class. The extra-wide door openings make it easy to get in and out. We love the driving position and appreciate that Genesis makes all the main controls easily accessible for the driver. And despite the GV70's rakish body, it's actually quite easy to see out of. 

The GV70 comes with a healthy amount of modern tech. For starters, advanced driving aids including adaptive cruise, lane keeping assistance and collision prevention are all standard. Only the surround-view camera system and blind-spot warning are extra, and even then they're reasonably priced as part of a larger package. The upgraded 16-speaker Lexicon audio system is part of that package and well worth the money. Also standard is the GV70's short but wide 14.5-inch center touchscreen. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

The 2025 Genesis GV70 2.5T trim is powered by a 300-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. With the standard eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, the 2.5T feels athletic and responsive, with more than enough power to pass and merge quickly in traffic. For a truly sporty feel, the 3.5T Sport trim comes with a 375-hp, twin-turbo V6. With this engine, the GV70 is downright fast. It has more immediate power off the line than the 2.5, and it delivers plenty of smooth muscle at nearly any speed.

A range of deep, rich, premium paint colors including Alta White, Uyuni White, Vik Black, Savile Silver, Makalu Gray, Capri Blue, Mauna Red, Storr Green, Storr Green Matte, Matterhorn White Matte, and Makalu Gray Matte are available for drivers who demand a rich finish.
