The 2025 GV80 at a Glance
GV80 Overview The 2025 Genesis GV80 is the largest of the three crossover SUVs in the automaker's lineup. Redesigned this year, it gets a series of exterior nips and tucks, a spruced up interior with several new two-tone color combinations, and a 27-inch OLED instrument/infotainment display screen. This model year will also see the introduction of the GV80 Coupe, a sleeker, sexier version of the crossover aimed at style-conscious luxury buyers.
While many things about the 2025 GV80 are new, the powertrains are not. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder that offers 300 horsepower, while the uplevel engine is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that generates 375 hp. Both deliver power to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The GV80 coupe model will offer a more powerful turbocharged engine equipped with a 48-volt electric "supercharger."

The 2025 Genesis GV80 is offered with a turbocharged 2.5-liter or 3.5-liter engine. The 2.5T is available in four trim levels: Standard, Select, Advanced, and Prestige. The 3.5T is only offered on the Advanced and Prestige.Â

What is the Interior Like in the 2025 GV80?
To answer your question in simple terms: stunning!Â
As part of the 2025 refresh, the GV80's cabin offers new color choices. The revamped interior features a broad, low-cowl dash and showcases a sleek two-tone, three-spoke steering wheel option. The front cupholders are bigger, and the wireless device charging tray is more conveniently located. We expect the GV80 Coupe will share many of its sibling's interior features.
The 2025 GV80 has innovative interior trim materials, including basalt and recycled newsprint, which supplement more traditional wood and gloss-black trims. Although the GV80 is available with a monochrome black interior, a variety of two-tone color combinations are also offered. Among them are Ultramarine Blue/Glacier White and Smoky Green/Earth Brown. The GV80's upholstery and trim exude luxury, making the SUV seem like a much more expensive, bespoke vehicle. A standout feature is the "mood curator," which dispenses carefully selected aromas designed to either invigorate or relax passengers.
The giant OLED screen undoubtedly captures attention, but there are also rotary knobs for shifting and controlling infotainment.Â

2025 GV80 Infotainment, Connectivity, & Convenience Features
One wow factor in the 2025 Genesis GV80 is its 27-inch OLED display screen, which is accompanied by a revised infotainment system. It has an intuitive graphic motif, featuring prominent visual icons for major functions like Map, Destination, and Phone Setup. The icons change from black-and-white to color when selected, providing immediate feedback. Features include navigation, AM/FM/HD Radio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 90-day trial of SiriusXM Radio. The instrument cluster offers three themes: standard driver information, advanced driver assistance functions, and dynamic map and destination info.
The OLED display offers touchscreen capability, but the infotainment system can also be controlled by a round rotary knob on the console and by voice commands. A bin at the front of the console houses two USB-C ports, and there are two more USBs for the rear-seat passengers. For 2025, Genesis upgraded its premium audio system from Lexicon to an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen system featuring a user-friendly Beosonic interface for easier sound tuning. The GV80 also includes fingerprint authentication.

How does the 2025 GV80 Handle on the Road?
The 2025 Genesis GV80 offers two engine choices: a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder (2.5T) and a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 (3.5T). The 300-horsepower four-cylinder provides enough acceleration to please even performance drivers, but they will be even more pleased with the 375-hp twin-turbo V6. It delivers effortless acceleration without the four-cylinder's occasional coarseness. Both engines team with eight-speed automatic transmissions and a standard all-wheel-drive system. The GV80 Coupe will have the V6 as its base powerplant, with an option of adding electric assist to raise output from 375 to 409 hp.
Electronically controlled adaptive dampers are available on the 2.5T AWD and standard on the 3.5T AWD models. The sophisticated suspension uses a forward-looking camera to read the road surface and adjust accordingly. It enables the GV80 to deliver a composed ride without excessive body lean in cornering. The steering is reasonably precise and provides good feedback, although edgy handling isn't the SUV's forte.
